Jaw set, Will trudged out against the weather and turned his collar up. Tightening his coat, his fingertips lingered where his heart had been before his hands slid away into his pockets. He had expected it to hurt more, that somehow it would be more painful than his wife's departure, her betrayal, but it wasn't. Letting that Harpy woman, that sea witch, take his heart had been easier than he expected. And now, he felt at peace or rather, he felt nothing which was almost just as good.
Bracing himself, he barely smiled when a group of kids threw snowballs at him and he ducked his head before tucking the bag of goods closer to his body. He was going to see her, not his wife because he knew better, but someone else. Someone from his past. He kept thinking about her, even without his heart in place but it was different somehow. He didn't feel guilty about it any more. Like being with her, or going to be with her was perfectly natural.
Stopping to help an elderly lady up her stoop, Will pressed his lips together in a small smile before heading down the street. He'd be there soon, at Trina's, and then hopefully she could warm him up. He wanted that after all, not his wife.
OOC: Will sold his heart to the Harpy matriarch, find him out wandering in the snow as he heads out to a certain Trina Moon's place.

It is hard not to get a little swept away in it, in thinking how Will Cabot continues to perfect in most ways she's always wanted. "Have at the kitchen," she tells him, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
She gives him a more serious look though. "How's everything going Will? With you?" With you and your divorce. The divorce part is silently implied.

Turning his head, he brushed a kiss against her neck- a light tease before he let go of her and headed towards the kitchen. Pulling off his coat, he dropped the groceries on the side before looking for something to cook- as much as he could cook- in. "Fine, I was in Harpy Bay for some business earlier."
Pulling out the steak, then the salad, Will showed it to Trina before placing the salad on the highest shelf possible in her kitchen. Out of her way.
"And I suppose I need to think about getting Corrine-" He never called her that. "-to sign the divorce papers. Shortest Siren Cove marriage, I think I managed to beat Douglas on that one."

She reaches out and touches his shoulder. "Running off to the caribbean to elope with a Hollywood actress? I wouldn't call it...responsible behavior I'll admit, but you were in love. It makes you dumb. Or so I've heard."

"I don't think you've done a dumb thing in your life," Will murmured.

"I only do great things," she says in agreement. Just then her cellphone rings from in her bedroom. She pats his shoulder to move so she can go around him.
"Lemme take this. You continue doing whatever it is you're doing in my kitchen," she says, taking her wine on the way out. When she picks up the call and it's Corrine Flynn on the other end, she shuts the bedroom door too and escapes to her balcony. Their conversation is short and to the point. Not exactly friendly but not altogether rude. Corrine thinks she's done Trina favor, but when she hangs up the phone and reenters her apartment, she's just confused.
Harpy Bay? Sea witches? Sold hearts? How is she suppose to respond to this? Eventually after taking a couple minutes to think, she rejoins Will in the kitchen. This time she gives him a hard scrutinizing look trying to judge any differences in his behavior. She decides to just be direct in her questioning. She is a reporter after all.
"Will," she says, taking a seat on one of the barstools. "I just got an call. From Corrine. What happened today?"

Even as he teasingly kisses Trina and sighs loudly as she slips from his arms. Taking the steaks, he watches her leave the room before touching where his heart had been earlier. Rubbing his chest absent-mindedly before he began to seal then grill the steaks.
"Hm?" Will asked, looking up as Trina re-entered the kitchen. Leaning on the counter, he reached for the bottle of wine to top up her glass before looking at her puzzled. "Today? I helped an old lady cross the street, I came to see you, oh and I sold my heart. It's no big deal. How do you want your steak?"

Date: 2015-02-09 08:43 pm (UTC)"No big deal?" Trina asks, her eyebrows and voice raising because she thinks many things about Will Cabot, but stupid isn't one of them. But this sounds like the stupidest thing anyone's ever done. Ever. "How is this no big deal? Do you hear yourself?"

Date: 2015-02-09 08:50 pm (UTC)"Yes, I can hear myself perfectly fine. I don't understand why everyone is acting like it's a big deal. It's not my soul, it's just my heart. I'm still alive, I'm still me." Will said. Though for how long that remained to be seen. He was already devoid of most of the feeling, the warmth that everyone seemed to love him for. "It just... hurt too much, so I got rid of the hurt."
It hadn't hurt him when he was with Trina but he wasn't always with her. He was in fact a drunken or sober mess most of the time. He couldn't live like that, he'd made a very sensible (drunken) decision.

Date: 2015-02-09 10:16 pm (UTC)"It hurt too much? Of all the stupid---" Trina feels her heart racing inside of her chest. He did this. He really did something so stupid and idiotic. Trina looks at the blank expression on his face, like he really has no idea what he's even done, and she wants to strangle him. If there was ever any denying she cares it won't be now, because she wants to kill him.
She gets up from the stool and goes over to him, arms crossed angrily over herself. "If it's no big deal, did you tell you brothers first before you went flouncing off to Harpy Bay? Did you tell your mother? Will, what is she going to say when she finds out you don't love her anymore? Because that's what you did Will. For one person---" Emotion rises in her words again, and she doesn't know why but she actually feels a little betrayed or hurt or something. She thought she'd been helping him, but she hadn't been helping at all. "You cut everyone else out so you didn't have to deal with Corrine. How is that fair?"

Date: 2015-02-10 09:54 pm (UTC)"Because I didn't want them to stop me," Will replied with a whisper. Watching as Trina came over to him, a beauty in all her righteous fury. Looking down at her, he held his ground as he hears the tension, anger, hurt in her voice. "Of course I lo..."
Love her. But he didn't. He didn't know what he felt towards his mother or his brothers but it wasn't the same feeling as it had been before. The warmth, fierce, protectiveness that he used to feel had gone replaced with a grey nothing. He felt like he should feel something but the feelings were gone.
"I didn't think it would affect anything else." Will said, brow furrowing confused. No wonder the small, aged, sweet looking old woman had laughed and accepting his bargain so easily. "Anyone else. Just me."

Date: 2015-02-15 04:28 pm (UTC)She's angry but she still finds herself wanting to make him feel better. No matter what he's done. She sighs out rubbing his arm. "Will, I know what happened with Corrine. It didn't feel good, but sometimes you just have to deal with the pain. It would've gotten better. Not right away but it would've gotten easier," she says, though it's all too late for that.
"How do we fix this? Who was the buyer?"

Date: 2015-02-22 10:14 am (UTC)"Viola Harpy." Will murmured, reaching out to snag Trina's waist and pull her close. She rubbed his arm, it was easier like this but then it was always easier with Trina. Everything hadn't hurt when he was with her. He didn't want to think of that. "Maybe, maybe it would. It felt better with you. It was just... all the other time. Is it so bad? To be without a heart, I don't feel that different."

Date: 2015-02-24 06:06 pm (UTC)"I don't know either, I feel the same though. I still feel the same as always," Will replied, hands sliding over her hips and settling in the dip of her back. Pulling her closer until her body was pressed against his, he breathed out and leaned down to press his head against hers. "But if I change, you'll know right? You always know."
