Main street [OPEN TO ALL]
"I hope you're satisfied with our arrangement, I know I am." her voice intoned, sly and bemused but cracked with age. Her face pulled back in a grim satisfied line as Will winced and cleared his throat. Watching her hand tighten around the deeds, she nodded before taking the mostly healed heart before placing it against his chest. "This will hurt, love inevitably does."
Will pressed his hands into the chair, his grip tightening as the two younger women held him down as their grandmother pressed his heart back into his chest. The pressure, the pain, the feeling made him gasp and push against their hold until it was done. His heart was his own again, the feeling of hurt and loss and despair gone finally.
"Next time dearie, don't make deals with the devil or a sea witch. And remind your brother he's to come visit me, such a handsome young man." Will collapsed forward as the two women let go of him, one rushing to collect their grandmother's things and the other looking at him calculatingly. As if assessing his worth. "Now, whatever shall I do with all this land? Well, we'll soon see won't we?"
Will stood up blearily taking two steps into the sunlight as the matriarch of Harpy Bay stepped into her car and her granddaughters followed suit. Taking out his phone he sent a text out to those who might want to know that he had It back before collapsing, shirtless of course, to the floor in the street outside.

His smile is warm and ready. The twinkle returned to his eye. And it makes her own heart hurt again - not with any sort of lingering longing, but affection and nostalgia, how much she's missed him and how much she still hates herself for what she's done to him. Maybe things can finally start getting better now. Corry looks up at him, eyes wide and soft at the recognition of the man she thought lost and wonder at all that has passed. "What happened honey?"
She doesn't have to ask if his heart is truly back. All Corry needs is to see him to know.

"I don't know, when I find someone then I'll let you know." Will replied lightly, reaching out to touch the end of her hair. Twisting it around his fingertips, he tugged on it lightly and smiled at the feel of her hair in his hands again. How soft it felt, how it felt and how everything felt again. "My heart was healed, decided it was time that it was back in my chest, and my youngest brother might have had something to do with it."

She smiles at him, face soft with affection, arm still wrapped around him for support as she leads Will towards a nearby bench. "Alright, well we can't have you toppling towards the cement again. Can I get you some water? Or in the water?" Corry wonders if he remembers the days they spent together as mermaids. If he felt that longing and absence of their friendship after too.
"Of course Ed had something to do with it." Corrine sits on the bench beside him and grins. "And time is right. Hey, maybe now you can enter the Mayor's race."

Will tugged Corry closer as she sat down and smiled thoughtfully.

"Well clearly you're feeling better." Grinning, she nudges Will softly, shoulder to shoulder. God, she missed him. The warmth that surrounds him, the voice that reminds her of warm honey and the deep mahogany wood of his boat. ...Former boat. For all the years that Corry and Will meant - well, really incredibly hot sex - and then the very swift change in who they were and what they tried to be - maybe it's only been more recently that she realized how much she truly adores and cherishes him as a friend. And a person, but she's always loved him for that. "The sea beckons then."
He pulls her closer, acknowledging agreement. "You mean the water? Or mayor?" She looks up, studying his eyes, trying to get a read. It's something they'd talked about a lot, here and there. His maybe one day future in politics. Much more favorably in recent times. But to think it could be a reality... her smile beams with hope.
