CHARACTER INFO

NAME: WILLIAM GEORGE ARTHUR CABOT aka Will Cabot or occasionally Wills.

PLAYED BY: Chris Hemsworth

AGE: 29

SPECIES: Siren

BACKGROUND & HISTORY:

The second son of, now retired, Senator Henry Cabot and his wife Rosemarie, William was born into a life of privilege and prestige. Growing up in Siren Cove, to one of its wealthiest families William was given anything and everything he could have ever dreamed of. From private school education to the brand new sports car when he passed his driving test, Will was used to getting what he wanted. And frankly, it turned him into a privileged brat.

With an older brother, Henry, as heir to the family dynasty, Will never felt the pressure to step up and behave and instead acted out. Despite his father’s wishes, Will dropped out of college and spent years travelling and partying his way round the world. Blowing a significant part of his trust fund, Will was forever the black sheep of the family and a terrible influence on his younger siblings in particular. And it was only for his siblings that Will ever stopped off in Siren Cove on his way to the next party.

But tragedy struck when a drunk driver killed Henry, destroying his father’s hopes and dreams and devastating his mother. Returning to his home to grieve, Will ended up feeling the weight of familial responsibility to stay and stuck around for a month. That was three years ago, now being groomed for a career in politics Will feels the pressure only increasing on him to take his role as future head of the family.

PERSONALITY:

Senator Cabot always knew that his children were meant for greatness and his second son was not exempt from that desire. Warm and full of life, young Will was charismatic and charming and boisterous. Constantly getting into fights at school, Will was often berated for disappointing his father. It never mattered to the Senator that his son was protecting a friend or standing up to a bully, it only ever mattered that he had gotten into trouble or more that he had gotten caught. And the more the senator tried to cover up Will’s actions, the more that stubborn Will acted out.

When his father finally gave Will an ultimatum to clean up his act, Will stubbornly refused and dropped out of college. Traveling around the world Will lived a life of excess, never settling down and never stopping as he put his reputation as a womanizer and party goer to good use.

It was only his brother’s death that forced Will to look at his life, to re-evaluate everything that he had been doing with his life. Returning to his home has forced Will to grow up, to be a role model to his younger siblings that Henry was to him. Though Will is much quieter, and mostly sober, there is still that spark of stubborn rebellion lurking beneath the surface.

OPINION OF THE RIVALRY: The rivalry as far as Will is concerned is something he, himself, doesn’t concern himself with. However his family, or rather his father in particular, sides with the Coombs family as did his brother.

LIFESTYLE:

Dependent on his large trust fund, Will up until recently has had no need or desire to work. Trying to behave more responsibly, he has begun to reassess his life and invest in his home community. On the board of his mother’s charities, Will is known on the social scenes as someone to watch in the upcoming years when he is likely to step into his father’s shoes on the political scene. Will can often be found at his beach house or on his boat. When he does venture into town, he spends his time at the coffee shops or playing water polo with a few of his old high school friends. While Will does still attend society events, since his brother’s death he isn’t as die hard of a partier like he used to be.

POWERS & ABILITIES:

Siren. Will is a rather low level siren. While he does have some powers of persuasion, this is generally dismissed as him being overtly charming. While he does exhibit heightened speed and strength in the water, it is his siblings who got the brunt of the siren power.
